Vital Signs Fall Concert 2023

For this project, I created promotional material for my A Cappella group’s fall concert. This is one of my favorite projects in my portfolio, and our “space” theme inspired me. I created all the designs by myself, but the final product was chosen by our executive board within the group.

I started by searching Pinterest for a space-themed poster, and I made drafts of our promo in black and white for the group to choose from; once we decided on 3 to 4, I made them colorful and then made changes as we collaborated on colors, shapes, and planets. I used Adobe Illustrator for this project. This piece shows my design process, from rough sketches to a final product. This was my first time designing for an actual event rather than a school project. Seeing my work posted around the school and hanging up on people’s walls and classrooms was super cool and made me know I wanted to have a career in visual design!
